Had been seeing a counselor for about 3 to 4 months just starting to get comfortable and start doing real work. I go in for my session this morning to find my therapists name is missing from the sign in. I check my email where the business sent me a message at 3:56pm the afternoon before my appointment stating that my therapist was "departing the practice" they didn't even specify when it was happening. I could not speak more highly of this facility, I would definitely give 1000 stars if I could! If you are looking for counseling services in Central Illinois, this place is highly recommended.
I read the reviews prior to telephoning the Mental Wellness Center. I have had very bad fortune with trying to find counseling services in the Mid-West so I thought perhaps this place might be able to help; it might be different. I've been searching for a counselor since I moved to Illinois. I finally worked up the courage to make the call only to be met with an automated recording instructing me to first submit a copy of my driver's license in addition to going through a portal to complete additional paperwork. The atmospere and staff are welcoming and Jenn immediately put me at ease. Her knowledge of trauma based anxiety and depression has helped me in so many ways. I wholeheartedly recommend Jenn and her staff!
Wonderful atmosphere from the start! The staff here made it their personal mission to make sure my concerns were addressed and gave me the tools to handle what comes my way in the future. I felt so welcomed from the moment I walked in the door.
