I’ve worked and consulted with Sara and other therapists at MCPC for a number of years, and also attended the reading group there. I’d highly recommend the centre as a place to go to learn about psychoanalytic therapy during their trainings or to attend for therapy.
I recently attended the Introduction to Psychoanalysis short intensive course taught by Dr Sara Taylor. By means of carefully selected pre-readings, Sara first introduced key concepts of psychoanalytic theory. These were then discussed by a small group of participants who illustrated them with examples drawn from their professional practice and personal life. I found the course environment to be safe and welcoming, which made it easy to share one’s opinions and experience. I thoroughly enjoyed the course in all its aspects.

The course was thoughtfully designed, featuring carefully selected reading materials that deepened our understanding of the subject. The discussions with fellow participants were intellectually stimulating and enriching. I highly recommend this course and the clinic, and I look forward to enrolling in future offerings.
Made an appointment with them last week and they confirmed they’d take TAC clients and there would be no out of pocket fees. Got a few back and forth calls today where it’s a different receptionist that the practitioner Carol would want me to pay upfront and ask to reschedule the appointment. I’d suggest please don’t confirm when you are unsure. Disappointing experience and a waste of time.
