My recent hospitalization was met with a level of professionalism and compassion demonstrated by every department I encountered…..as a retired ICU RN, I have never encountered a more valuable asset to a community…..

I was nervous to bring my daughter to such a small hospital as sick as she was but decided that it was the best choice rather than make her drive a long distance and I am so glad that we did. The nurse -who I wish I had his name because he was better with her than any of the pediatric staff at Vanderbilt have ever been. She is terrified of needles and he is the only one that has been able to get a blood draw and IV in her without a panic attack. My father was admitted for chest pain. He stated it was a pulled muscle from work, nothing major. They ran tests and said he was in the midst of a massive heart attack and that he could likely die. Emergency transport to bowling Green med center, gets checked out, they run more tests, he isn't having a heart attack at all. Doctor's in Scottsville don't know how to diagnose a heart attack. My wife brought me to Emergency Room on December 26 2025 with high fever and respiratory issues Since I’m currently going through Cancer treatment, this adds a greater health risks to me. The ER staff assessed my condition and moved me to room for further evaluation. My condition warranted that I was moved to the hospital and remained there until Dec 29.
