I've been to The Meatery quite a few times and am very familiar with their sandwiches and side salads. Since I have an appointment with my cardiologist this afternoon, I figured I should probably order something that included the word "salad." This place was great. We came for the to-go food but they also offer a full butcher meat counter with some high-quality cuts. The food was incredible. The wife ordered the Goomba and I ordered the Reuben, some of the best sandwiches we’ve had in awhile. The only reason I gave it a 4 star instead of a 5 was because I also ordered a half point of brisket and it was really bad. The fat was not rendered and the meat was horribly tough. What a great find in Seaside. Spouse and I both had excellent sandwiches - I had a Ruben, he had the BBQ Brisket. Pastrami was absolutely perfect. Generous portion on the sandwich. Toppings didn’t overpower the meat, so it was allowed to shine. Great bread, too. Excited to come back & try some items from the case.
