This was a pretty good place to be for the first time the people there were nice. The staff are kinda rude sometimes lots of fights including the one I got in. I got restrained twice for nothing! I got discharged when they knew I wasn’t better! I went into another mental hospital a day after I came back home.
First night there I was denied to wear my shoes while walking on the wet jagged rocks/pavement to the building. Doctor was unprofessional and rude, called a patient "fat boy" when they didn't know his name, and was asked if I smoked because "my people smoke a lot." One staff member grabbed me by the wrist hard because he was pissed I was playing with a ball and didn't find out my meds were changed from 60mg to 20mg without my consent until I finally left. The doctor and therapist were quickly responsive ; however, the rest of staff… my daughter’s $60 hoodie was stolen and never given back. The staff left my child get sexualidad assaulted by other patients because “they were busy doing other stuff”. Her aunt and Grandmother brought clothes for my daughter the 2nd day in, but my daughter did not relieve them until 4 days into her 6 days of being admitted. Nothing is done correctly here. I went here back in July due to psychosis. Instead of tapering off the one medication I was on and THEN proceeding to add the new one, I was ripped off cold turkey in the ER and in the facility, then put on Risperdal. Surprise, surprise, things got worse, and I ended up in an embarrassing manic episode that ended up almost getting me into legal trouble. I ended up losing my phone and everything.
