The 5 stars review is for the management and the maintenance team, who have always addressed issues promptly. The apartment has/had a roach problem but the management has been very active (and pro-active) in addressing it. I especially want to thank Ms. Gabrielle Brocato, who has always been friendly and understanding. Whenever I have some issues, Gabby does everything in her power to help me. Poor customer service I tried to make a delivery for a resident there today and it had a very difficult process they told me I was unable to leave the package in the leasing office because they can't hold the liability of a customer not getting their package if it's left in their leasing office where the customer had to actually sign the lease so you would think it would be protected there. Gabby provided an exceptional tour of the apartment building! Her enthusiasm, knowledge, and professionalism made the experience truly enjoyable. She went above and beyond to showcase the features of the building and answered all my questions with patience and expertise. She was very helpful with any questions in regards to signing the lease and the paperwork that comes with move in.

I didn't want to say bad things about this apartment until I moved out and found that they treated you totally differently once you became a former resident. We moved out in July last year and paid all the bills when we moved out. My roommate and I sent several emails to the leasing office to confirm the bills and make sure we had everything sorted, but no one ever responded to our email. I am the residence of The Marylander. I lived there for almost a year. Here is my opinion. Pros: This apartment is very close to campus, only 5 mins walk, and the rent is really low, friendly to Hopkins students. The leasing office is always there to help. I really appreciate Gabby, she helps me a lot when I moved in, and as well as deal with some issues about contract, etc, always enthusiastic and helpful! Cons: The leasing is kind of chaotic.
