The place had a strong unpleasant smell as soon as we arrived, and the service was very poor — staff were unfriendly and unhelpful. The breakfast was extremely basic, and the rooms, while relatively clean, felt old and poorly maintained. Overall, disappointing experience for the price.
The Mariner reeks of mold the minute you walk in. The front desk person, Simone, stated she did not know what day of the week hot tub is cleaned, so obviously there is no routine or scheduled sanitization. The breakfast eggs are premade saucer discs that are deadly and taste like a fart smells. I had been paying cash & checked out on 11/4. On 11/5 The Mariner Resort charged another 653.00 on my debit card - for a weeks stay which I did not authorize- I had already checked out. Front desk is unhelpful at best. My stay at this establishment was simply excellent They have a person working at the front desk named Simone They are the most wonderfully helpful person. I think I’ve ever met in this industry. I travel a lot for my work and it’s rare to see someone who simply enjoys being kind of helpful left in this industry Truly, they are lucky to have such a wonderful staff member
My room was absolutely disgusting. The bed covers were dirty, the bathroom’s foot towel was filthy, the bathtub had hair and mold, and there were holes in the ceiling above the shower.
This hotel has a 3 star, it should be more like 1. The service didn’t talk to you, the breakfast was disgusting, and the beds are rock hard. My neck hurt so bad after sleeping in it. The lamp shades had stains and there was only 1 open charging port. There was a bug in the bathtub and stains on the mirror. The only good thing about the hotel was how there was an amazing donut place across the street. The sliding door was broken, it came off you couldn’t even open it.
