Beware of this therapist!! As parents of a young adult child who was one of her clients, we were yelled at, shamed, and made to feel like we were to blame for all of our child’s struggles in life. She ranted about how she was a better parent with her own daughter than we were and belittled us beyond belief. She screamed and yelled at us over the phone which terrified us in knowing she was working with our child with mental health issues. Unethical and unprofessional. If I could give her minus 5 stars I would .

Came with the family for family therapy. She made very hurtful and inappropriate claims. Tried to boot 2 of us out of the session and then booted me out. Just awful.

Alyssa is very compassionate, knowledgeable, professional and delightful. Her help to me and impact on my life over these many years of therapy have been invaluable. My quality of life has been exponentially increased through our therapy partnership. Being a therapist and dealing with people who are often at their worst and most desperate is a hard job. I cannot recommend The Mandel Center highly enough. Alyssa Mandel is, quite literally, a lifesaver. She is extremely intelligent and even more importantly is kind, compassionate, empathetic, funny, honest and straightforward.
