Cannot wait to move out of this property. Multitudes of dogs barking throughout the entire day and night across the entire complex, dogs pooping in the hallways, dogs running off-leash through the hallways. Unsecured exterior doors letting homeless men in to sleep in the stairwells. Windows regularly smashed and cars broken into in the private parking lot. FATAL shootings on property. Only got 2 stars because the maintenance men are really good at fixing anything in a timely manner.
They love to delete bad reviews because I am constantly leaving bad reviews and then months later I check and they are deleted once again. Today I had quite a bit of linens to wash and because the included washer/dryer unit in the apartments can’t handle more that a couple of tshirts. i went to the laundry room in the gym where 2/3 of the washers were no longer in working order. Updated to 1 star. My apartment is pretty cool (the only one I liked out of the 6 I viewed throughout their buildings) but that's about it. The air quality is absolutely awful. I had a pretty serious incident in my first two weeks of moving here that took maintenance a couple of visits to correct. There is a constant ringing sound in the apartment which is extremely obnoxious as a remote worker. People smoke inside fairly often and the smells carries quickly and heavily. I cannot stress enough how much of a nightmare it has been to live here. I needed somewhere to live and felt exhausted with touring apartments in Richmond and then I finally found one I liked. Besides the look of it everything has been awful. Air quality issues are significant and even my friends can tell a difference when they're here visiting me. Leasing provided workarounds with dehumidifiers but it's still terribly dirty are throughout the building. The building itself is filthy. People have literally let their dogs poop... read more
I moved out of the Upper Lofts last year, and I seriously regret it now that I’m living a few blocks away in a different complex. It's one of those situations where I learned the hard way that the grass definitely isn’t always greener. I absolutely loved my apartment and the view it offered. The amount of natural light I had really lifted my mood—it felt like I was getting a serious boost of dopamine from the sun.
