This is the place to stay. Evan at the front desk is hilarious. The bar had fast/friendly service even when it was busy, and the food options are amazing. It's a short walk to swim for free and there is a bar by the water. We had a great anniversary weekend here!
The Cactus Creek Creekside Townhouse is not worth $550/night. The stairs are unsafe, there are cables hanging out of the walls, one of the bedroom doors doesn't shut, there are roaches, and one of the exterior doors has a gap. I tried contacting the management but they never returned my calls. The handrails on the stairs are so low that they are unusable and the top step isn't level with the floor. Someone will eventually get hurt on the stairs.
Best place in town too stay with young kids
Pros: The entire place is a retro/rustic vibe. Very fun and feels authentic. The price is fantastic for the location and proximity to a great swimming hole. The staff are amazing. It felt like we went to summer camp as a big extended family and we loved it.
