Pros: The entire place is a retro/rustic vibe. Very fun and feels authentic. The price is fantastic for the location and proximity to a great swimming hole. The staff are amazing. It felt like we went to summer camp as a big extended family and we loved it. This place is gorgeous, from the trees to the pool and everything! I was doing a chainsaw carving for the First Baptist Church in Wimberley and needed to swap my air mattress for a real bed. Wow, room #1 has the best bed ever! The staff is super friendly, plus there's a bar and two restaurants with pretty good food. I especially loved Claudine's and the ladies running it. Erin at the bar was awesome, we're actually friends now! I'm definitely coming back.
We spent three days at the lodge and had such a great time! The location makes it! Free entry into the swimming hole (get there early to get a parking spot and table in shade) which was fantastic. The pool was clean and plenty of seating. Fire pit where they offer free smores at night for the kiddos. Great food on location as well with the tavern & pizza spot. The lodge is great place for family weekend get away. Lots of activities for everyone. Shopping, pool, river, & bars
Vintage lodge. Very little modern convinces. No breakfast, central heat. No coffee in room.
