The Little Bear Saloon really is a step back in time, from its whimsical, wood-plank Wild West exterior, to the building's colorful past (the bar was once a drugstore and before that, a church). It is very popular with locals and visitors and is one of the liveliest bars in town, with live entertainment six nights a week. The live music is a colorful blend of folk, country, bluegrass and acts are both local and national. A typical bar food menu is available for the peckish. When we finally got our dinner we had 10 minutes to eat before being told by a rude staff member to "get out". Kitchen staff were equally unpleasant and unsanitary and gave us a burger that looked like it had been cooked for less than 15 sec... read more
Great entertainment - eat first! Great for live entertainment. Most days there are two to three bands, everything from bluegrass to funk to oldtime rock. Food is terrible. Underdone pizza, overdone nachos. Corndogs and jalapeno poppers were good, so if you must eat, stick to what can be deep fried - it's harder to ruin!
Go there for the music . . . not the food.
Rustic bar in historic Evergreen draws varied crowd with its dynamic live-music scene. – In Short This watering hole's rough-hewn exterior is matched inside by bra-draped rafters and walls plastered with license plates. But the bar's quirky décor and come-as-you-are attitude are only half the appeal. Mountain-town locals and tourists gather here to listen to nightly sets of live rock and blues provided by touring groups and local bands. Hungry music fans nosh on basic food options ranging from nachos and hot wings to salads,... read more
one of the best bars--period – Great time. A bar everyone should experience for themselves. Can't wait to get back there.
