A highschool football score of 72-0. A highschool soccer score of 20-0. I would give an F to the highschool sports coach that finds the need to excessively run up his or her team's score versus a less skilled team. One of the most fundamental lessons to learn in school-funded athletics is the lesson of good sportsmanship. The head coach is the #1 role model for a team's student athletes. Any coach that runs up the score is clearly flunking sportsmanship. Any school board that allows this to happen should be ashamed.
The worst sports writers in the state, when you cover local sports it helps if your writers no the area and report the facts not making false reports on coverages of games, that's why I don't buy your paper your writers are biased
Can't believe that I still pay for a subscription!! This will deffenitlay be my last one. In today's paper there is a total of 16 sides, and if you took all the "ads", classifieds, and comics there would only be 4 pages worth of reading. Tired of paying for a paper that is over half full of ads. Besides the front pages I bet you can't have one full page of reading material!!
You want our take on new paper well here's mine. When you raised the price of the papers the news and everything else went south. You expect to see what's going on in Lima and other counties but get disappointed. I guess I remember how the paper use to be twenty years ago when today's price would have been okay. I look forward to the ads in the paper but not all are there. Lima news needs to get public opinions before changeing the paper.
I just looked through the new design of my pre-paid newspaper and I feel I have been cheated! Six months spent on enlarging photos and increasing font size for a "cleaner" look results in less news articles. 16 pages in today's edition with 2 full pages of classified ads and another 2 full pages of job postings, 1/4 page of weather and a 1/4 page of a snapshot of a roomful of cats.
