RecommendedI love the residents and the fellow staff. There is definitely a team approach and you will see everyone from our administrator, directors of nursing, nurses aides, and nurses along with other staff out on the floor serving and truly caring for our residents. We have come a long way over the last year and a half with many ups and some downs but we remain strong and keep serving the people. The owners of this place are greedy and refuse to listen when you tell them that you cannot bill the families of a Medicaid resident. They want you to keep people on their Medicare days longer than they should be so they get paid more. There are some excellent employees in the facility that go out of their way for the residents daily. The food is amazing and the activities are engaging and fun. Staff is treated horribly. No wonder why they can't keep staff.
Since every post I post gets deleted all these residents need to have a voice who don’t. There are absolutely zero staff to care for these residents. The staff of amazing cnas and nurses try their best but when you have no staff to care for these residents it is completely unacceptable. I wish every resident the best of luck in that facility and the workers who are there more than with their families who work short every day while management goes home everyday. Miss you all. I have been at the Lighthouse for 8 years. It is a great place and has a very caring staff. Come and visit.
The Lighthouse is very comfortable and all the Nurses, and CNA 's are FANTASTIC. Everyone in the Business office to the flowers in the day room are GREAT.
I have worked back at the light house for almost three years now and I'm telling u that my residents are part of my family. They are very special to me and I love every single one of them. I have had family members here and I would put my family here again because all of the nurses and the aides treat there residents as there family. I get very close to my residents and I wouldn't have any other way. I have been a nurses aide for almost 21 years and there is a reason for that it's because I love my job.
I have worked at the Lighthouse of Ishpeming for the past 39 years.Its a great place to work the staff is great we have a new a Administrator George Petitjean he is easy to talk to so stop by for visit they are all great to talk with.Oh did I tell you I love working there. I love our residents they get the best care from cena's and nursing staff.We are a great bunch to work with also.
