The office is open (virtually!)! Received settlement documents this morning and hammering out a settlement in another claim!
I've had this question often recently. The State Board of Workers' Compensation and more generally the Court systems ARE open, although we cannot have in person hearings or mediations or trials for the next month. However, since the process is mostly online, we can still conduct business as usual (again mostly), and many issues that need to be dealt with, or even mediations or depositions, can be handled via video. We are still open, starting with a Monday morning deposition. However it's good we have a very large conference table so we can practice our social distancing! Still taking calls, e-mails and new clients, as most everything can be done virtually!
