Over my 40 year nursing career I found myself drawn to dying patients. I wanted to learn more about the process so I could offer patients worthy end of life care, and to feel comfortable with them so that we could have the open and sometimes difficult conversations that many avoid around this time. Tracey provided such a gentle, nurturing, and guiding space for us as we said goodbye to a much loved family member. She met our unconventional desire for a bright and casual end of life celebration with enthusiasm. We felt so held by her presence. Tracey provided amazing support to our mother during her final months, and particularly during her final week, which was especially hard for our family given the Covid-19 travel restrictions meant many of her family were unable to get there quickly.
