TERRIBLE service! – We had the WORST brunch experience here on Easter Sunday. The service is terrible. Although the food was okay (it was much better the last time we were there) I would never go again b/c the service was so bad. We waited an average of 30 minutes between courses! The waitress forgot my coffee and I had to ask 3 times for it. Everyone we spoke to was so rude... finally I saw the manager talking to the table next to us... they were complaining about the service as well (surprise!) so I asked him to come over ... read more

A longtime Marin County favorite, featuring well-rendered California cuisine in a beautifully converted Victorian house set among redwood trees. – In Short This venerable Larkspur restaurant is set in a converted Victorian house updated with ceiling fans and skylights. Add the wrinkled trunks of big, old redwoods just outside, and the setting is serene. Brunch highlights include hash with roasted red-pepper salsa, eggs Benedict and warm scones. For dinner, there's a blue nose sea bass filet with creamy polenta and grilled pr... read more

Still the best in Marin – I used to live in Marin and visit all the restaurants there regularly. I recently went back to The Lark Creek Inn and realized how much I miss it and wished I had this kind of place near me (Peninsula). First, the place is beautiful. It's an old house and it has that comfortable residential feel. It's in a grove of redwoods with a creek out back. You can dine on the patio surrounded by lush trees and flowers. You can have a special occasion experience in the main room. You can also have a fantastic ... read more

I expected more – The service is amazing, the ambience sets you in a mellow mood and the drinks arrive promtly. Both appetizers we ordered were fresh, crisp and flavorful. The Main courses however, left much to be desired. Both dishers were overcooked and the meat was dry. I would reccomend a visit of drinks, appetizers, and the most amazing Butterscotch pudding you have ever drempt of.

Impeccable – I just dined there last evening and was really blown away. The service was flawless and the food spectacular. I hadn't been for some time and was really impressed with what is going on! We has spent the day in wine country and decided to stop for dinner. Unnbelievable that every bottle of wine on the list is half price for the month of June! Suprised to find antelope on the menu, and it was delicious! the new Chef Matt Christianson has it going on. Roasted beets, all natural beef, market fresh vegetables all def... read more

Outstanding – On a recent visit to The Lark Creek Inn I was pleasantly suprised to find the place alive and vibrant with a Friday night crowd of diners who knew what they were in for. . .an absolute treat! From the hostess who greated us, to our delightful server and the warm good-byes, nary a beat was missed. Bradley Ogden certainly has put the right people in charge of this Marin classic. Executive Chef Jason Miller was out front cooking in the wood burning ovens and that roasted halibut with Maine lobster was superb. Prim... read more

It's your father's restaurant – I had heard alot about it, and expected something special. What I didn't expect was that the waiters and waitresses thought that they were special, and that the customers were there to accommodate the LKI's reputation. If you want to eat at a place that would be the ideal place for your father to bring his mom to impress her, the LKI might do it. If you want a great meal, nice atmosphere, and little pretense, it's not hard to do a lot better

Food is terrific – The meal here will be outstanding guaranteed. But the crowd is on the old side and the decor is kind of aging as well. But you'll love what you're eating. And, come in for lunch and it's actually a bargain.
