The Lane Retreat is an incredible experience, and has become our go-to stay in the Hunter Valley. It's incredibly peaceful, with gorgeous views over the vineyard. Easy to find, and well located within a short drive of many restaurants and wineries. Thoroughly recommend!
We had a very pleasant stay at The Lane Retreat. The accommodation was private, with stunning views of the vineyard and the mountains. We appreciated having slippers and a bathrobe provided. The bathroom was excellent (so nice to have two shower heads in the shower!). The pool area was lovely, and breakfast was good (the butter and juice were fantastic), although the portions weren’t quite enough for two people over two days. This was our first visit to the Hunter Valley, and The Lane Retreat proved to be the perfect location to base ourselves for three unforgettable days. From the very good breakfasts to the wonderful wines, the super comfortable bed to the beautiful location, everything was excellent. One particular highlight: we availed of the complimentary transfer service to and from the estate's excellent Esca restaurant and lovely pizzeria, and our special thanks to the lovely lady who drove us on both evenings.
