Just spent an amazing weekend at The Dutton Farm House, was perfect. Everything we needed was there at the house.
Dutton farmhouse is located on the similarly named VT country road with attractive grounds and beautiful views. You can sit on chairs or bench in the front yard, looking upon the Scott Farm orchards with both Mt Monadnock and Mt Wantastiquet in the view. Inside, the property is rustic and welcoming. Totally enjoyed this quiet place! What a step back in time; nestled next to the orchards with the smell of the many lilac bushes all around us.. Perfect respite from our busy lives.. explored the grounds and the town of Brattleboro too. Sure to return perhaps in the fall to enjoy the apples and colors of fall..���
Over this past Memorial Day weekend, Mary and I spent 4 days and 3 nights at the Sugarhouse property. What a great place. The cabin was perfect, the bed was very comfortable, everything we needed was supplied. Very clean property. We explored the local apples fields, hiked around the rest of the property and enjoyed the private screened in porch. We will be back again in fall. Thanks for all of the hospitality that was provided by the local staff.....
I recently rented Naulakha for 5 nights for 7 women from Texas, Missouri and New Hampshire. The house and the property were both perfect for our needs. There are many opportunities for easy day trips, wonderful restaurants, shopping and walks from this idyllic location.
My husband and me just spent 3 days in the Rudyard Kipling carriage house and it was an absolute dream. The house was very clean and well kept. I think we both loved the kitchen the most with the giant windows looking out into the front yard. Autumn was the perfect time to visit and town was conveniently close. So peaceful and perfect. You can feel the history in the house. We will certainly be returning.
An absolutely amazing place to stay! It was an honor to stay at Rudyard Kiplings home, sit where he wrote, eat delicious meals at his dining room table, and enjoy all the other original furnishings he had. The views are panoramic!
