Great Food and Great Service! We eat at the lamp post fairly often. Once we got a very fatty cut of meat,and as soon as we let the waitress know, they had done everything they could to fix the problem. At this point, we had both been huge fan's of the restaurant, and after this, we felt that they went above and beyond to show how they treat customers. Go for the food, not the bar Bar is horrible. If you're not a "regular" forget about getting a drink. Rude and inattentive bartenders who spend more time chatting with the manager than serving the customers.Food is very good. Quick and friendly servers.
Delicious! LOVE this food! We keep going back. You won't be sorry if you go to eat here. It's a small place, but the food is out of this world!
The Lamp Post Restaurant quality food at restaurant prices in a bar setting. I'm not sure this is a favorite, but when driving by that area it is definitely worth a stop and nibble.
An Amazing Restaurant The Lamp Post on Rt. 565 in Vernon/Sussex is an amazing restaurant! I honestly eat there once a week. Besides a great basic menu the weekends feature unique specials that you usually only find at higher priced restaurants. The prices are great & the atmosphere is so comfortable. You always feel at home there. We bring a lot of friends that come to visit to the Lamp Post & they always ask if we can go there again when they visit next. Great Food! I just came home to visit my parents and we went to the Lamp Post Inn for dinner. I was surprised how much I enjoyed it. The soup was AMAZING and my mom and I split a shrimp and pasta entree that was really good. I will definitely be going back next time I come home!
