Very lovely upscale restaurant with delicious food great service and a wonderful atmosphere.
I have been dining at Lakefront Restaurant for over 50 years. Meals have been consistently superb. Not sure what has happened but dining on 01.27.26 was awful. Food was mediocre at best and something anyone with a touch of culinary skill could have bested in their own kitchen without much effort. Certainly not what one would consider "fine dining". Way overpriced for very mediocre "fine dining". Sweet potato soup and bone in pork chop were heavily salted and not special at all. I had high hopes for this quaint, cozy, and well serviced restaurant. The wine recommendation and cocktails were excellent. Sadly I will not be returning until there is a chef change.
This is a beautiful spot, but the people and service is horrific. First, try calling. They don’t answer the phone. You must leave a message or text and ask for a reservation. I did so on a Sunday afternoon asking for a reservation the following Friday or Saturday with time flexibility. I did not hear back until Wednesday at 4pm when they texted to say they were booked.
