Let me start by saying the wait staff were terrific. I the wait staff was the only saving grace on the service rating. We were a large group reservations were made in advance but the manager refused to allow us to put 2 tables together since 2 people canceled and it would have allowed the other 2 not to have to sit by themselves. Manager claimed fire exit and chandeliers. Chandeliers were very small light fixtures and the fire exit was no where near. 6 pm open-table reservation Seated in dark corner-- there are about 8 tables. Walking in, we passed nice lake-view window table, was told not available. Really? Beet salad w figs. Good, but skimpy. $36 Ordered beef Wellington. Good. Pork chop, bland and tough. $46 Server steered me to Wagu Steak, to replace chop. $65. 3" x 3" x 3/4" of meat. To me, a ripoff. We visited the restaurant on the 11th of August for dinner. I don’t think we’ve ever received a service like this every in our lives. Joshua H. the general manager is a treasure! So warm, kind, funny, professional, smiling all the time- keep this man whatever it takes! Our experience was incredible! We did not expect this from a place in Mammoth! We are so happy we come here!
