This hotel was excellent and truly cares about their guests. All of the staff was friendly and welcoming. They are accommodating and in addition to the niceness of the hotel itself, the rooftop bar and restaurant are great spots. Did take off a little for the room itself because we found part of a false eyelash in our bathroom, on the 3rd day of being there, when neither myself nor my hotel roommate use those. I think it may have been a straggler from the robes? Just a little bit icky, but not the end of the world.
UPDATE 7/27: Formerly 5 stars, this stay was awful in comparison and I would never stay here again or recommend to anyone. Last time the staff let me check in early and upgraded me to a nice city view room. This time they said my room was ready early but there would be an early check-in fee of $300 (! What the heck is this outrageous fee?!). I said this was ridiculous, and the front desk said she could do $200. I refused and asked her to text me when I could check in without a fee. Charged me with a smoking penalty as a non smoker and refuse to solve this conflict!
We had to shorten our stay in New York because of my mothers passing. THe hotel refused to refund the two unused hotel nights. THey will never see me again.
