The Kidney and Hypertension Center (KHC) would like to thank our community for trusting us with their kidney care needs for nearly 50 years. Our founder, Lionel King, MD, introduced nephrology to the Tristate area in 1963. Under his care, Cincinnati saw the first patient initiated on dialysis and the first patient undergo a kidney transplant in 1964.
