I lived at the Kahn for a year and am only moving out for a work commute, but this building is beautiful and has absolutely phenomenal management and maintenance. I would argue that specifically, Sydney in the leasing office and Darnell in maintenance, are the reason that the higher price at the Kahn is absolutely worth it. Sydney was incredibly helpful and flexible with me when I first moved in, and even after I moved in and was a tenant resolved every concern I had extremely quickly. I just wanted to take a moment to thank Sydney and to speak on her exemplary service. I am preparing to move to the Khan Apartments. I have to move pretty expeditiously because of heating issues at my current apartment complex. I appreciate her meeting with me with such short notice. She is kind, so incredibly patient, and took her time to show me the property and various apartments and differing floor plans. I recently moved into The Kahn as a transplant into the Motor City, I looked at several neighborhoods and Downtown but upon visiting the New Center district, you feel this is a little bit of the best of both worlds, Downtown is awesome, but busy most of the time. New Center has some calming, more local effect and the history here is incredible. Like the Motor City, it just oozes from every street corner here. They won’t return your deposit when you move out!!!! Update after over a month: I haven’t received any payment.
I RECENTLY MOVED BACK HERE FROM COMMERCE AND I MUST SAY MY EXPERIENCE HAS BEEN GREAT SO FAR ALL BECAUSE OF THE MAINTENANCE GUY DARNELL! I HAD AN ISSUE WITH MY STOVE AND OUTLET AND HE FIXED IT WITHIN A DAY! I COULD ALREADY TELL HE WILL MAKE MY LIFE EASIER HERE! HE REALY HAS BEEN MY GEM HERE SO FAR! THANK YOU TO THE KAHN TEAM AND DARNELL!!!
