We decided to come to Julian instead of Sequoia NP because of the smoke from fires. A friend said you must stay at the JGR Hotel. We are so glad she suggested it. The sitting room has comfortable easy chairs and rockers. The dining room is frilly/frue frue with antique tables, hutches, and games and they serve on china. Oh, and the food is very good and served by helpful, real people. The rooms are charming. We enjoyed our time in Julian twice as much because of staying here.
