Room was not available until 4:22pm. 4pm check-in is already quite late, they told us the room would be available much earlier than 4pm but it was late. The room itself is nice enough, is lacking a desk and chair to work from, which is unusual given the location in FiDi so you would expect some business travelers.

The restaurant experience was very disappointing. We waited approximately one hour, which was unacceptable, and the service did not meet the standard I expected from The Jay. In addition, there was a problem with one of our rooms that we reported, but the issue was not properly addressed. Overall, I was disappointed that our concerns were not taken seriously or resolved during our stay.”

This hotel charges premium rates, and before committing to it I think there are a few things you should know. 1) The minimalist aesthetic they have going on in the rooms is not for everyone. Expect everything to be beige or monotone in color, with not a single colorful artwork in sight. They've put most of their design focus into furniture with curved shapes, and while it creates a mood of coziness, I found it *too* cozy.
