A great little Italian shop in Arlington. Has great food and good customer service. I like the subs the best but the pizza is also very good. Give this place a try you won’t regret it.

Add another one to the do not patronize list. The Italian Store- Arlington VA. I walked up to the door at 7:01 PM, they let 5 white people in the store just in front of me. When I got to the door, they told me they close at 7 (I checked the website, they do close at 7) and I couldn't come in. The problem? They watched five white people walk in right in front of me and didn't say a mumbling word to any of them. But I wasn't allowed in. One little store contains all the memories of my childhood, spending summers with my Italian grandparents in up-state NY. The smells will transport you back the small family owned neighborhood Italian grocer/deli of childhood. Pure yumminess.
This is a great place to find those difficult to find specialty Italian items. I wanted to make my own ravioli, but I don't really have the space do do it c o m p l e t e l y from scratch. So I decided that fresh pasta sheets were the way to go. I couldn't find them in the store, but the woman behind the deli counter was so helpful and got me some lasagna sheets from the back. I haven't tried the sandwiches or pizza yet, so I will definitely be back!
