One of the worst experiences with the inspectors group. Inspector failed the 1st inspection due to the fact he didn’t have access to the panel outside in a 4plex service setup. 2nd inspection failed it as he said no load calc or 200amp approval even though we had both done and a simple phone call to the inspector would of worked. 3rd time he failed it due to the cover is missing. Very professional - Kirk explained to me every observation he was noting with the background on why it was important.
Solar final Inspection was a list of things by the Inspector about what we should have done or could have done in our house. He was a grumpy, rude, bully that spent more time complaining about electrical work that had been previosly passed by an inspector from his team than checking on what had been installed by the solar company. If you can have anyone but IG come in to do the inspection, do so, incase you get this inspector. Who shall remain unnamed!
Taking forever for the permit to get released. Probably waiting for Christmas next year.
I have no idea whether they are decent inspectors, but I’m going to suggest provably not. Driving down highway 23 into Lethbridge, the speed limit is 100. I was going 112, and this guy passes me at about 130, and continues to speed that fast down the highway. With that kind of driving attitude, I’m going to suggest a cocky bugger behind the wheel. Based on their 3.3 Google rating, it kind of tells who what they’re about.
