Great information! Setting up plan to meet your situation is a great help. It is not a sleeping pill , but following the process will help meet your goals. It will take time , so don't expect over night success.
Working with the Insomnia Clinic ended up being a life-changing experience. Dr. Glidewell works hard to keep this accessible to everyone from his book (I found the book very helpful) to the 4 hour workshop and the more in depth 1-on-1 sessions. The "treatment" isn't exciting or revolutionary, but it is wonderful to work with an expert who can help remove impediments to good sleep, help you understand your body, and help you troubleshoot problems.
My one-on-one experience with Dr. Glidewell has helped to greatly change my sleep patterns as well as my anxiety about them. He identified a circadian rhythm sleep disorder and guided me through using tools to address it. He also supported learning and practicing meditation daily which has helped change my life outlook as well as calmed anxieties about sleep. I feel rested in the mornings! I am a little over 1 month since starting to work with Dr. Glidewell and I am incredibly pleased with how I am doing. I have a long way to go, but my sleep is significantly more efficient and I'm starting to sleep more. Everything that Dr. Glidewell has predicted and advised me on has come true. His book is excellent and really gave me a foundation to work from. The zoom meeting was very beneficial. It was great interaction with others with sleep issues. I learned some new techniques to assist in my sleep restoration. Some I already knew but they needed reinforcing. Changing habits, installing new habits and consistently staying with them will be my challenge. It is with the goal of improved sleep that will keep me motivated.
