Exceptional hotel. Staff is very pleasant and helpful. The location is beautiful and the property is thoughtfully laid out. Quality of the food is very high.

I had called over six months in advance, and booked over the phone to confirm that I could book two adjoining rooms, which they said they were happy to accommodate. Upon checking in, the woman at the front desk said “let me move some things around for you, so that both of your rooms are in the same building.” This was disappointing, and I feel as though I was told what I wanted to hear over the phone while booking, and they knew they weren’t going to book the rooms together.

I stayed at the Lake House over the summer and have visited on many other occasions for food and drink. Staying at the actual hotel was nice, everything is new which is great, however the rooms are so loud when moving around - like the floorboards are so squeaky especially when you go outside to the deck. This was just not something I expected for a hotel that is practically brand new and it made me not want to go out on the deck because I didn't want other people to have to be woken up or bothered by it. We came here for an anniversary trip for a night. Our check in experience was superb. My wife is pregnant and they swapped an alcoholic "welcome" drink for sparkling juice. The room was clean, warm, and the property was in good shape. We came during a quieter week so there was plenty of attention and little wait on anything. The pool was warm, the meal great, and we will be back. Maybe our favorite thing was walking around the grounds and seeing the gardens and patio area.
