Stayed three nights in August 2025. We've stayed here before, specifically for the view of the Welland Canal's Lock Seven, but that was sixteen years ago and the place has changed hands since. The rooms in the hotel all face the canal and have balconies, except the first floor where there's a patio area. The bulk of the building dates from 1965 and has a dated look, both inside and out, BUT, that's all part of the appeal. Thus is a quaint older hotel with a view of the ships going through the Welland Canal. The room was clean and the beds comfortable. As an old hotel it didn't have all the electronic luxuries of a newer place but I didn't miss them. The price was reasonable as it is close to Niagara Falls at peak tourist season.
We have been staying at lock7 for 3 generations. We love it!!!!
Great location, friendly staff , clean rooms. We had a room facing lock, perfect to watch ships go through lock, had a wonder time highly recommend.
