I recently stayed at The Hythe, and unfortunately, it was a quite disappointing experience. While the property itself is beautiful, the level of service and available amenities during my weekend stay fell far short of expectations for a luxury resort in Vail. It seems that during certain times of the year, the hotel scales back to the absolute bare minimum. The rooms are terrific. Every time I’ve stayed here I’ve had a nice little private balcony. The path out the back door to the river is a wonderful walking path/bicycling path. People were fly fishing and cold, plunging in this river!
