Beware: greedy and deceitful management company in a low quality apartment building! While Lamar and Hector, the maintenance team, were truly outstanding—by far the best I've encountered—and the apartment layout was spacious, my overall experience at this building was a nightmare. First, the rent increase was absolutely insane. After living here for a year, they raised our rent by nearly $2,000 a month (a 37% increase), forcing us to move out. I’ve lived in this building for almost three years. The apartment itself is spacious and unique: three bedrooms, two bathrooms, nearly 1,700 sq ft, and a beautiful terrace. That’s the good part. Unfortunately, everything else is a disappointment: • Old appliances that constantly break. • The elevator is often out of service, and there is no handicapped access, which is a major issue. My wife and I have been living at the Hyde for over a year and love our apartment. It has large balcony -- big enough for a couch and a full-sized dining table -- where we spend a lot of time during the summer. The interior has beautiful hardwood floors throughout and higher-quality fixtures that are hard to find in a rental apartment. The management has been courteous, professional, and has not tried to raise rent above market rates when renewing our lease (unlike most large management companies).
