I recently bought an Aventon Pace 5 from the Huntington Bicycle Shop, and I'm so glad I made the drive. Shopping locally was definitely the right decision. Brook, the owner, and Jim were fantastic to work with. This was my first e-bike, and they took their time explaining everything I needed to know without ever making me feel rushed. Needed work done on my bike so I called the only bike shop in Huntington. Asked how much he would charge to true my front wheel. He told me he doesn't work on bike brands he doesn't sell.... I'll find a bike shop that works on bikes.. thanks!! And nobody asked for a retro fit either. I asked for a simple re-lace and truing of a bike wheel. The same as asking for a new rim on an existing tire. Retrofitting would be modifications done to a bike like adding a kit or a different hub motor. If you want the experience of a real bike shop with a great owner that’s willing to help with his knowledge and huge selection of e bikes that work fantastic and come with warranty’s great local business and is a great guy. Rather support his business at least you know you can test ride and see what you like first before buying.
