The foundation for The Hudson Gardens & Event Center was laid in 1941 when King and Evelyn Hudson purchased five acres of land on a two-lane dirt road of Santa Fe Drive to house their home and restaurant, The Country Kitchen. Their restaurant was highly successful and the Hudsons retired after twenty years of operations. My husband and I were looking for a special place to have our wedding and reception at the end of June and found the perfect place. We worked with Karen at Hudson Gardens and had our ceremony in the Rose Garden and the reception in the Garden Canopy. We couldn't have asked for more. It was so beautiful!!!
