Great dive – Come on. This is the great dive bar. You have every walk of life there and the best drinks. You will have to call a cab after having mixed drinks at the Hub.
It's got it all – My title says it perfectly. The Hub has that great dive bar feel and atmosphere. The drinks are the strongest anywhere, the jukebox is packed with the best mix of music, the bartenders are totally cool and now to top it all off there is a hot dog guy out front on thursday friday and saturday night with the best freaking hot dogs I have ever had. As if the place couldn't get better. Now it has it all!!! Love Love Love the HUB!!
Trashy and Fabulous – I never understood the attraction to dive bars until I stepped into the Hub. It is the greatest dive bar--trashy and fabulous. It has the best and the worst jukebox in the world, depending on your mood. And it is a time warp--it doesn't matter if I go in at 7 p.m. or 1 a.m., I am probably going to be there until closing time. Definitely THE place to end up after a night out. The Best – Nasty, dirty, dingy, smoky, with stiff drinks. In other words, the BEST. Gotta love the atmosphere. Scooter is the man. You'll never know who'll show up in there. Definately worth going to.
Strongest drinks in town – I have been frequenting the Hub for years and it's still the BEST bar ever! The first time I took my friend Andrew to the Hub, he fell in love with the place. He said it was like stepping into a totally different dimension. Scooter is the best bartendar and has been working there for over 17 years...ask for him and tip well. Watch out because the mixed drinks will knock you right off your feet before you know it. Enjoy!

Same great Hub – The Hub may have changed locations, but it hasn't lost its classic dive bar feel, even if the bathrooms are, sadly, now absent of graffiti. Drinks are still strong enough to kick your butt, the jukebox is still stocked with everything from Patsy Cline to the Pixies, and the regulars are as grizzled as always. The new checkerboard floor is hideous, but otherwise, The Hub is still downtown Tampa's best bet for low-key cocktails.
