Please spend the extra money for a different hotel if you are visiting the downtown Portland area. This is the most mismanaged hotel I have ever stayed in. From the very beginning, it took over 40 minutes just to get checked in because of a policy issue through work. This hotel is also cashless, even though cash is legal tender. The included breakfast was old and questionable. My refrigerator went out and, although they first offered me a new room, they later decided against giving me an upgrade. BUYER BEWARE! Hidden fees! Poor service and staffing. You will need to contact the front desk for everything, including getting the continental breakfast that you were already charged for. Charged $790 on my card when online it said my total would be $475 for 4 nights. Parking is $40 per day. Rooms are dirty, carpets stained, room fan doesn’t work, smells like cigarettes in some places. No ice machine—you have to pick up a bag from the front desk. This place is amazing and full of art. Also, s'mores every evening and love music around the fire. What's not to like? Why stay anywhere else?
