The Hotel Melrose was a great property, it was modern especially the rooms, and was very charming. However, the check in process was horrible, AI is taking over unfortunately. Other than that great stay, but if you don’t want any customer service except for the nice gentlemen at the bar this hotel would not be a good stay for you.
Beautiful building and rooms. Love the virtual check-in. The hotel bar, The Melrose Spirit Company, is an absolute gem that blends perfectly with the vibe of the hotel. This place is absolute must for anyone wanting to experience CO.
They’ve really done a nice job remodeling these, but the idea that they would open a bar in the front of the hotel, 20 feet from guest rooms with no door or any other delimination between the two spaces is just mind bogglingly bad. The hall just funnels noise from the bar right to your room. You might as well be trying to sleep in a bar. We hit the jackpot with the Melrose Hotel in downtown Grand Junction, from the stunning decor to the fun and friendly bar tenders Gavin and Jack at the attached bar. What a great experience!
