My 91 mother was at Providence East in what is referred to as In-service hospice under the care of Mariposa hospice. At term was new to me. It simply means the patient remains in the hospital but under hospice care. I have nothing but praise for all the staff that I delt with from Providence and Mariposa. My mother had another hospice outfit but we terminated their services because of the poor care she was getting, thus her hospital stay.
