The Horn is not reopening. The owner Steve Goetting mismanaged the funds of the restaurant, and they were never properly capitalized. After writing a letter saying they need an additional 500,000 dollars in financing, there was a mysterious fire that the insurance company would not pay for. Steve Goetting uses cocaine, so I am not sure how he managed to get a liquor license, an issue I will take up with the Camp Verde city council. "What a great place to stop for lunch on our way from Phoenix to Cottonwood 4th of July weekend. We had read about "The Horn" in Arizona Highways magazine and so passed up the usual fast food quick stop to try it out. Fun décor, great service and really good food. The beer (brewed next door) was a local treat. We had two kids with us and I was thrilled that they had a kid's menu with the usual kid's fare (pizza, chicken tenders etc.) which just makes life easier if you don't have adventurous eaters. On the last day of my trip to AZ, I received a recommendation to try out The Horn in Camp Verde. I stopped by for a late breakfast, and was pleasantly surprised with this quaint little spot. I sat on the patio and enjoyed the sun and music played over outdoor speakers, while perusing the menu. The special that day was a breakfast burrito, and the waitress seemed extremely honest about how delicious it was when the staff tried it earlier that morning. live music Wed night. weather was nice, sat on the patio. we ordered the burger w/ fries and chicken w/ quinoa. both entrées came with mixed greens dinner salad. burger was BIG, temp as requested, tasty. fries crisp w/ mild cajun seasoning. rotisserie chicken, roasted brussel sprouts, quinoa w/cranberries and pecans. good service, $20 per person w/tip (no beverages)
