Home Depot had a price mistake on an entire pallet of wood. Bought some last night and went to buy more today. Lumber manager said I was lying even though I said I would show him the receipt and picture of the pallet. They could never get a store manager to come speak with me. Will stay shopping at Lowes.
I don't recall the employee who "helped" us saying that the department we were in wasn't his usual area. First it took us FOREVER to find someone to help us. We were trying to explain what we were looking for and we still got directed to the wrong item. The store was HOT. Today we returned our item to another location and it was hot there also. The employees were equally as hidden and almost tried to seel us the same wrong thing before I pulled up a photo.
My wife and I special ordered a front door in February. After about 30 delays we were finally asked to contact the manufacturer ourselves and we finally got the door delivered two months late. A lot of that is Steves Doors' fault, but throughout the process managers refused to call us and resolve the issue and associates routinely tried to keep us from escalating the matter to managers by refusing to tell us when they would be at the store or what their names were. Today I stopped by Home Depot to find some flowers/plants for my front porch. Three gentlemen there helped me right away and gave me lots of tips since I am NOT good with plants. One gentlemen, Robin, was such an awesome help today! He put together my vision and the went above and beyond by telling me I could sit in my car with my cold baby while he personally arranged my plants and flowers in to the pots! I received the best customer service help at Home Depot today. I had to go buy yard stuff to make my house more appealing to buyers and I HATE yard-work. The staff at Southlake made the horrible task a pleasure and helped me from the moment I walked in, till the moment I closed the boot on the car full of everything I needed. They made a hard thing easy and the only thing they couldn't do was weed, mulch and plant the stuff, but they made it all so much more bearable. I am grateful and happy and now thoroughly exhausted.
