I rented a Ford Transit from Home Depot yesterday. Upon returning the van at 6pm, I waited ~20 minutes for the one rental clerk on duty (annoying, but it is what it is) only to be told that he was going to charge me the $35 "fuel charge" because I didn't top up the tank at a gas station closer to the store.
