I was in Home Depot on Memorial Day. I had a US NAVY T-shirt on. The cashier checked out all of my items and then thought to ask if I was a veteran and if I had proof of service. I said yes and showed her my VA card (anything will do, Legion card, VFW card, etc). She cancelled my purchase then rang it up again with a 10% discount. I asked if this was a Memorial Day thing. She said no that it's all the time but you have to ask. Great service from this young lady cashier. Home Depot is now my store of choice! :-)
Shout out to Jason in paint for all his help while we have been doing some remodeling! Especially today when he helped me with a question about electrical because there was not even one associate to be found in that department! He's a 6 star employee!
I have been at Home Depot many times since April. The employees that I worked with were very helpful. If they didn't have the answer to a question, the employees quickly found someone with the right answer. I usually check out the lawn and garden department for plants on sale. On one trip I purchased a John Deere lawn tractor.
Selling pumkins for 19.99 is absolutely insane! My last trip to Home Depot.
Don't order roofing supplies from them. If you do ask for them a day or 2 before you need them so they get there when you want it.

Went in on Sunday to get some ideas on Stone Walls for my basement. I was told that the Contractor Desk is only open Mon-Fri 8 AM - 4 PM. I talked with several people, and nobody could even show me any books with options.. How are we to do weekend projects when we can't get any help on a weekend... I was told to come back during the week between 8-4.. I have to take time off of work to talk with someone about spending money at your store????
