Excellent hotel in the middle of the town. Staff was available during the day, and room was well-kept. We were concerned about the potential for noise, but the nearby active railroad was really not much of a problem. The lobby and courtyards were beautiful. Will stay here again next time through.
I loved the downstairs area. Much work has been done to improve the ashetics. The rustic feel at this Hotel is fine, but the rooms should have clean carpets without questionable stains. The parking lot was half open and was horrible to park at. Many patrons had to leave their vehicles parked down the street a block away from the Hotel. There was not breakfast available at this Hotel during my stay. It was highly questionable that the front desk clerk was closed after 7:00 pm. There was a self check in and a self check out. Horrible! Paid for a Jr Suite, assumed it would be a step above. Sheets were dirty. Carpet was stained and crunchy feeling under your feet. Bathroom toilet was a kid size and the seat and lid were so worn out they looked disgusting. The sofa was so broken down that you had to roll out of it. We had the advanced warning of train noise during the night, but that wasn't bad. I think the others need to tour there rooms to see how bad they are. I would be embarrassed if my place was like this and had friends come over to stay.
