Parking situation was absolutely terrible. You’re competing for parking with businesses in the area and if there’s an event going on, good luck finding a spot. They also had to make you park far away in a different parking lot multiple times for snow removal or construction, etc. Parking nightmare. They also give out tours of the apartment while you’re still living in it. Never have had that before. Super weird and uncomfortable.
We thoroughly enjoyed our time living at the Hinge Flats. The apartment had been freshly painted and thoroughly cleaned before our move-in and they included a welcome basket on our move-in date. The rental company is incredibly responsive and accommodating to your needs. The maintenance crew is also responsive, quick, and knowledgeable. We would recommend living there to anyone!
Our unit 110 has flooded numerous times both from rain water and a drain backup. The outside is not properly graded (the sidewalk slopes TOWARDS the building) and whenever we get heavy rain the water comes in under the foundation, under the flooring, and soaks anything you may have on the floor of the entry closet (which essentially eliminates one of the few storage areas in the already small 600 sq foot apartment). I live at the hinge flats and have since they opened. We were offered $1,000 a free months rent of our choosing as an advertised move in offer, what a deal! We asked if we could use that our last month here and were gonna move into another one of their units until the manager told us they “don’t have it in writing” and “ cant find any correspondence about it” and they did NOT honor the free months rent.
