Very disappointed in a place that we've known in the past to have wonderful food. The fact that they've removed moussaka from their menu should have been a red flag. HC Greek's moussaka was outstanding. The pastitcio was more like baked ziti, but was a very small portion and very dry. Same story with the souvlaki; small portion of overly dry meat morsels. The greek salad was reliably good.

Place was a bit out of the way. Didn't realize they have another place in town because it has a different name. It was unusually set in a sports complex. Felt like we were in a medical building. We were the only customers at the time. Our server was friendly. Ordered gyros and fries. It was ready within about 8 minutes. The gyros were very good, no complaints, although I have had better. I absolutely love Greek gyros especially since my trip to Greece. I have tried a few restaurants in North Carolina and have been disappointed. Well that was not the case at High Country Greek. The gyro was fantastic the fries were delicious and the atmosphere was great. I highly recommend going there. I know I will be going back

Always excellent service and they make you feel welcomed. I ordered the Taverna Salad with the addition of lamb as an online order. I did not get the lamb with my order. I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt as they are usually great. Food was still delicious and ready when promised.
