Built by cowboy-turned-artist Lon Megargee in the early 1930s, Hermosa Inn was once his home and studio. After he was forced to sell the place, the building changed hands several times before the current owners restored it in 1992 and set it up as a modern resort while still maintaining the Hacienda-style architecture.
