Here’s a honest, unbiased, Intelligent review. Yes. As some have posted, there is very little surface parking. If you want limitless free Parking Then get apartment in the suburbs. There’s nowhere downtown, midtown, West bottoms where you’re not gonna have to pay for parking. The truth is a lot of landlords charge you $100 to park outside! At least at The HELM you pay only $75 and you get to park in a garage where you don’t have to scrape the snow off. Kemet and Kourtney are amazing! Very helpful and friendly! I moved here in July, and so far, my family and I love the experience of being so close to all downtown has to offer, yet being centric to the Kansas suburbs of Wyandotte and Johnson County. Of course, it is a downtown setting, so Private Parking is a MUST, no matter where you go in Downtown, so it is something that we had already prepared for. No issues using the Westbottoms Parking Garage.
The Helm responded on this thread that they are transparent about parking. I’m calling The Helm out because during my tour I was told I could purchase assigned pavement parking. Had I known I would have to fight for a parking spot, I would have never agreed to live here. I predict car break-in’s are just the beginning. I can’t tell you how many times I have been able to enter The Helm without scanning my key fob because the locks DO NOT work. What the hell am I paying for!? Can I know why you don’t want to refund my $150 Administration fee? I have made numerous calls about this matter and at other times left you voicemails but still no one cares about sending my refund after more than 50 days.
