I have had surgeries at hospitals and at surgery centers. I will not be recommending St Joseph's Hospital despite their being some wonderful staff. The anesthesiologist ruined my experience and I will not recommend it to my worst enemy. The way he spoke to me was cruel and he treated me like garbage, worse than a piece of trash. A written formal complaint is being submitted.
My Grandfather has been here for the last 14 days and counting. He is 83 years old and not in good health. The entire staff here, from the cafeteria to the doctors, has been absolutely amazing. They genuinely care about their patients and their patients family.
Mixed reviews. Doctors could spend more than 45 seconds speaking to patient that's been there 4+ hrs. Need to work on explaining discoveries and fixing if possible while in their carr instead of passing the buck to a primary care doctor if there's even one available. Treat to the fullest level possible before "putting a $10,000 bandaid on it" and sending patient out door. Could also be cleaning! Visible body fluids on floors, walls, even hand rail of my bed. Eww
My son went to the ER in Sept of 2025. He had to get a ct scan. We got the bill in the mail and it was almost $1,000.00. Called to set up a payment plan for $50.00 a month because he is a full time college student with little income. They told him that was not enough, he needed to pay close to $100.00 a month. He can't afford that so he has been paying $50.00 a month. Just got a letter in the mail that they sent him to a collection company even though he is trying to pay the bill. My friend just called me about a procedure she was scheduled to have tomorrow. But today she received a called saying she needed to pay 8000 before the surgery. Of course an unexpected medical necessary surgery she didnt have this. She was offered a prompt pay discount which was 50% of what she owed (deductible) however as she works like everyone else ahe didnt have this in her account.
