PLEASE READ! The healing place saved my life in 2012 it was a great place when Shannon was director, he genuinely cared about people long term recovery. Now 2026 it is a drug infested overflow for the jails. The new director Chris Hahn does not care if people stay sober or if they learn anything while there. DOC took over fully and there is no recovery there. Lessons learned there for sure...more so about people and rehab'politics'..good program for sure idk how much 'help' I got as I relapsed upon being kicked out...but I'm sober 5+ years now...
One of the greatest places I've ever had the experience of visiting, just wish I paid a little bit more attention while I was there...
This place will always hold a special place in my heart for giving me a second chance at life when I didn't think I was worth one. If you aren't ready to take a program seriously, it will not be an easy time. They're going to show you life how it really is and situations you're going to have to learn to deal with sober.
