Nice in town hotel. Walked to everything. Small bar, but bartender was top notch. Rooms were clean and all furnishings were updated. Breakfast was minimal, but it's a free hotel breakfast???
Only went for dinner and drinks with friends.
Rooms are nice and well maintained. Location is good. Service is lackluster. Front desk staff ate yogurt and looked at her phone the entire time, even as a handicapped lady was trying to negotiate the door with her bags. Didn't really even look up from the phone as people were coming in or leaving. Same experience when I stayed last year. Not a customer oriented feeling.
The Haywood Tapestry Collection by Hilton in El Dorado makes a fantastic first impression from the outside. It is in a prime location right near the downtown district, just outside the square, making it super easy to walk to nearby sights and restaurants. Parking at the back of the hotel is smooth and hassle-free, and checking in right from the rear entrance was simple. Inside, the room was clean, well-designed, and nicely equipped.
